Tip on electrical sys.

spraying HAIR spray on battery terminals protects them from corrosion. this can be used on all electrical connections. tip courtesy of Rick's restoration on A&E.

interesting

I've been in the parts business for over thirty years on both sides of the counter,(my dad owned a parts store, mechanic shop and machine shop, besides my mom inheriting a farm) and this is the first time i've ever heard of that. I've always used some kind of lubricant, such as grease, oil, or penetrating oil. Recently I've found chain and cable lube to work well, as it becomes tacky and seems to last longer. I usually just use want ever is on hand even used oil, and since I don't use hair spray, and I don't have any on hand, I doubt I have a chance to try it. But it is an interesting idea, I may just have to buy some just to expieriment.
