I also adjust my brakes, which helps keep the frame from tweaking to one side.

Some older reefers I pulled, were tweaked, and I'd use a hammer to nudge the pins loose on the side that stuck.

You need WD-40 and duct tape, but if they don't work, I like to try a hammer. :)

like i said the frame is fine... but whats kinda funny is my dane (not the one in this topic) sometimes when i lift the bar i'll have a crazy amount of resistance. if i go to to the passenger side rear pin and when i say lightly i mean lightly tap the pin with my rubber mallet everything goes in easy.

easier to have 3 or 4 axles like us then you dont have to move any haha

Mitch, if we brought one of your trucks up here... it would want to be upside down, on the wrong side of the road, all the time. :)

I have a trailer with the same problem. I bought the Sta-Rat pin pulling tool. It's spring loaded and puts constant pressure on the handle while you rock the trailer. When the pins get free the tool will pull them out. Google Sta-Rat. It works just like the video shows. For me it was worth the money.

tried the vice grips method-its works some of the time. but still to many trips in-n-out of the cab and back to the the trl. I read on one of these posts about using the short bungee chord trick - hook 3 or 4 straps to the handle and then the side of the trl and then rock the trl and it seems to work.

I've tried the tarp strap trick and it sometimes works. I've also tried the ViseGrip trick and that also works if the pins aren't too stuck. Yes, I've also tried spray penetrant and also tapping the pins with a hammer. All of those things work sometimes. You can also tie a strap or rope to the pin release handle and get a helper to pull the strap while you rock the trailer back and forth. You don't have to use a strap, but you might have a hard time convincing a stranger to squat down in front of the trailer tires while you pull back and forth.

The surest solution is to buy your own trailer with "air slide" like I did. Problem solved!

Keep tractor and trailer in straight line, rock trailer, pull pins. If that doesn't work use a small bungee cord to keep pressure on the pin release handle and use a small sledge hammer on the stuck pin...works every time.
