Can Air Tools be used from the trucks onboard air compressor?

Yes they absolutely can. However for wheel nuts it's a real PITA. You need large lines, a bigger than average impact, turn up the compressor etc.. and it still may not break the wheel nuts free especially if the jackass that previously worked on them overtorqued them. If they're at 500 lbs it can be done.
