Converting Fuller 9 speed to 13

I have a FL Classic with a RTLOC16909A T2 transmission and I am wanting to convert it to a 13 speed. What all is involved in doing this? It is a 9 speed with the auto Top 2 feature. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't think that one can be converted, your better off just finding one to swap

Accourding to Eaton's website, any 9 speed with a C in the part number can be converted to a 13.

My understanding of the matter is that it just takes an air hose and a spiltter, mounted on the shifter. Given the make/model of the truck, I'm guessing it came from the big blue fleet sales lot. That being said, I'd call either Eaton-Fuller, the dealer you bought it from, or the mechanic you trust the most with your transmission and see what they can do.

I believe you are correct. Eaton has kits for that changeover. They will sell that type of tranny to a fleet with the idea that converting it to a 13 will increase resale value.

So does this offer you more gears in the lower end for easier starts or in the upper end for more gears to pick from when driving in hilly areas?

Upper end. The shift pattern is the same for the 9 and 13 in the low range, but once you flip the range control switch and get into the high side, that's where the extra gears are.
