Leaking inside truck
 

I have a frtliner fld 120 condo yr 2000. It is leaking on the passenger side from the top around the window
( Condo window). The window is not broke and the seal look tight and in place. When it rain the water is coming on the inside of trk back in sleeper along the wall. Any help or suggestion will greatly appreciated.

try sealing around the clearance lights.they are prone to leaking between the gasket and the roof.

Mine leaks at three different places and its a 2007 model Columbia. I am yet to figure out where the leaks are originating from. Its a Freightliner issue, kind of like shaking and whatnot.

if you check the visor mounts also,they leak. put clear silicone under the mount and refasten it to the body.

The best way to find a leak in a Freightliner is to drive it in a lake then jump in the sleeper and see where the water is coming in. :lol:

First of all, the clearance lights in a Freightliner are mounted to the visor, not to the roof of the truck. Second, he's saying the water is coming in the window of the bunk. Clearance lights, even if they were mounted in the cab, like they were in Internationals, would leak the water into the driving area, and down the windshield. Not the bunk.

I would suggest, first to make sure the roof of the sleeper is not cracked by a stone or something (like a low branch). If that's not it, then the rubber around the window may be the cause. You may have to take it to a dealer to have them seal it up.

It's a Pete issue, too. My '09 Pete 386 leaks in the sleeper berth and rattles more than a pissed off diamondback. It's very annoying.

Have you removed the interior trim to see where it is getting in?

I would think hard about putting sealer the entire length of the two roof seams, windshield up over to the back wall. To make it neat, tape both sides of the joint, and fill with a rubberized caulk. Gonna take a couple of tubes. Get it from a body shop supply place, you want fresh tubes, not something that has been hanging around Pep boys for months.

Put caulk under the roof window rubber gasket, both the body side and the glass side, pry it up with a plastic tool to get the caulk in there.

As noted, remove, caulk and replace any other fixtures that may be letting water in behind them.
