if you have access to a computer, TruckDown! Vendor Locator | www.truckdown.com

Great idea! I first read this and thought what good is a website when I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to bookmark this on my wife's computer.

Once I use a service that I feel is fair and does a good job I get a card in case something happens near them again. I have had a few people that have worked on my truck out of town and I will somes go out of my way to deal with them again.

Good listing, Thanks! Hope this post would be useful for the truckers.

Something to consider is that companies pay money to get listed on Truckdown and competing services. As I understand it, it's a bidding war. The company that bids highest gets listed first, and the 2nd is listed 2nd and so on. It might save some money to avoid calling someone from near the top of the list because they've got to cover the cost of bidding so high.

But that's just tweaking. Truckdown is phenomenal. Thanks.

This is pretty helpful. Thanks for sharing it!

This is the most helpful thread I have found today on this forum as this is the best information that drivers should have for their safety. There are many service providers in every area, but having knowledge about them is the best.

Thanks for sharing your service in forum.Hope this post would be useful for the truck drivers.

I use Roadside Masters for my towing. One broken u-joint in Seattle would have cost me $1,200 to tow and the towing for roadside is $350 per year. roadsidemasters.com

Like everything else now...there's an app for that lol

Has anyone been injured from the Crank Bar as it coils backwards?

Other Options

We have launched a site with a online database application that allows you to record information about your trucks (or really any equipment) and then record service events for each truck. You can always quickly see maintenance history and even summary of repairs and costs by repair code, unit, etc.

One added feature is a map that shows nearby service providers and users can add their own favorites to grow the vendor database. This can default to your current location and is viewable on any device so has a lot of potential to be very powerful tool.

I don’t want to spam this forum by posting a link, but message me and I’ll provide address, details, etc. Even considering allowing some testers to provide feedback, etc.

Don't like break down on the roads :roll3:

Adamboer 08-08-2022 05:16 PM

For situations like this you should always have a truck management system in your trucks which keeps a detailed check on your truck that whether it's working fine or does it have any problem and share the notifications to the owner as well as to the driver
