Roof fairings

I want a roof fairing for my international 9200 day cab but don't know where to find any. Do they really help that much? And does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks!!

Yes, they do help. Your International dealer should be able to order you one.

I too wanted one for my freightshaker, I went to the deaer and just the little adjustable farring was over $1800.

Iowa 80 sells stainless turbo wings with brackets for about $1500

I got a used one off ebay for $200 in Indy and had a body shop install it, cost me about $800 total and I get about .6-1mpg more now. Well worth the investment after you figure the cost of fuel, it pays for itself in 1 month really.

I actually have a used Taylor Wing sitting behind my house if you're interested. The guy who bought it off me on eBay never contacted me.

I have a daycab- will it fit on there? Will the turbo wing look right on the top of a daycab??

You don't need to pay $2,000! Get a 'whale tail' or - legalese - 'wind deflector' that's made by an outfit in Ontario, Canada. These are available from most ... Peterbilt dealers. I went to an International dealer (I have a 2004 International 9400) and the Parts guy didn't know if he can order it. So I checked a Peterbilt dealer and this store in Calgary, AB had it. Paid just over $200 Cnd for it. They didn't have a chance to install it, and I was running south, so I tried my luck in ... Texas. A bodyshop with all Mexican workers charged me 200 bucks and now my fuel mileage is much better than what it was without the whale tail. A tip: don't use cheap workers like I did because they will probably screw up and make your roof leak. I had a constant leak in heavy rain after the "expert" installation but finally I took care of it. I'd rather pay $400 to someone who knows what he/she is doing.
