Just wondering what the difference is between the 9200 and the 9400??

I've driven both and found that the 9200 has a shorter hood and engine is pushed back into cab further, more engine in cab.

shorter snout - the 9200 is the economy version of the 9400 series

I have 2 9200's and a friend has a 9400. The only difference is the 9200 has a set back front axle and the motor is into the firewall a little more. Don't know about the 9200 being the economy version.

Cabs are the same, non eagle interior and eagle interiors are the same from the 9200 to 9400.

Sleepers are the same.

I have been in a 9900, 2001 I think and the sleeper, cab, dash everthing was the same.

I would say that allot of fleet trucks that are 9200's are pretty basic but that is just the way they were ordered.

I like mine allot. It has a 72" sleeper with 222" WB. I have to get into some tight spots and the shorter front end helps.

937,000 miles and no rattles, wind noise. I will say though with the set back motor the back of the motor is right below the drink holder and there is more noise from the motor compared to a 9400 or 9900.

My knowledge of the 9200's is based on mid 90's to early 00's so the real new stuff might be different.

I drive a 2000 9200, and it does have a pretty short nose. The engine sits back into the cab enough to bolster a few cup holders. The engine noise in the cab can be pretty loud.
For the most part, it's a pretty base model. While the passenger side window is powered, the driver's side is manual. It has a power mirror on the right side, and a manual adjust mirror on the left side.
Driver's seat is air ride, and the passenger seat is mounted to a frame on the floor. Overall, It's a good tractor.

I have a 9400 with all the bells and whistles. The 9200 has a set back axle with the engine pushed up into the cab. A little harder to do engine work on but a bit better for visibility and turning radius. Anyone driven one of those new prostars yet?

Hey Toxic, I'll bet the engine work on the tractor in your picture is pretty easy. The visibility looks great, too. :)

I had no idea that a soft top tractor was even in the works.

I think someone designed it by "accident"

And you don't have to worry if the Air Conditioner works, either.
