Is there somthing beter than a cotter pin to attach the auto slacker to the push rod ? I have lost a few cotter pins, making the slacker useless. Rocks I asume as I drive offroad alot. Ideas ? D.O.T. proof
Yah, your right, clevis first, but those little cotter pins breakoff from rocks ? And the clevis falls out, a pain, and not that obvious... Easy to overlook... JUNE 5, 6, 7, Boys and Girls !!!! good luck
Yup and if you don't have that small pin in there, the slack won't adjust.
I think the majority of the problem with them is seizing. Lube them with your favorite oil-spray everytime you grease. That's what I do. I just changed a brake pot and reused both pins they were in such good shape.

Come on Colt, there is so much mud up there you either dont get under the truck, or cant see them anyway, right??
