Default Peterbilt 387 Mirror-Integrated-Temperature Guage

Does anyone know how to change the lefthand mirror temperature display from the temperature in degrees Celcius to a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit?

Default ..

Just pull in to a truck shop and talk to the mechanic. Should be in the computer and should only cost a couple of dollars. I know that the T600 I drove you could change it on the dash for the mirror

I got a reply from Peterbilt on this.

There are two ways.

One is to remove the "flat glass assembly" from the "mirror head". Then on the back of this assembly there is a small "recessed gray button". Pressing and releasing this button will toggle the display through Celsius, Off and Fahrenheit in that order.

The other way can be done by the driver without getting out of the seat. To start, you turn the key to provide electric power to the truck. Then you wait at least 5 seconds for the mirror to stabilize.

Then cover the display area of the mirror to block out all light for at least 5 seconds following which you uncover the area for at least five seconds.

You repeat this 2 more times for a total 3.

Each time you go through this turning on the electric power and covering/uncovering the display/display light sensor 3 times, you change the display status once. The display status goes from off to Fahrenheit or Fahrenheit to Celsius or Celcius to off each time you go through this sequence.

I have already changed my truck's display from Celsius to off and then off to Fahrenheit.

"Does anyone know how to change the lefthand mirror temperature display from the temperature in degrees Celcius to a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit?"

Just push the odometer button several times rapidly will change the temp display without resetting an odometer reading.

I change my lots of times when I'm too lazy to convert the temperature in my head.

I don't know why Peterbilt told you what they did but even if it does change it that way, it's sure the long way around it.

As I said I change mine all the time in my Peterbilt just by pushing the odometer button several times quickly as my Peterbilt manual told me to do.
