Truckdriving jobs in Alaska?
What is the job outlook like for a Class A CDL holder who lives in Alaska? Whether it be over-the-road, regional/overnight, or home every day (distribution companies, such as Co-cola, Pepsi, etc.), would it be hard to find a job in Alaska? This is assuming one has past truckdriving experience and a clean MVR.
I don't currently live in Alaska, but may be moving there someday in the distant future, so I was just curious. |
Have you looked on Craigslist? Companies post thousands of driving jobs on there, mostly the coolie carrier types but even local companies sometimes post ads there. Childhood buddy found his current gig that way.
Go on companies' actual websites and search for Alaska locations and see what pops out. |
I know a guy in Alaska and he supplements his driving pay with odd jobs like cutting firewood, nuff said? He does love it up there even with the extreme high cost of living.
