Any current Greatwide info?

I'm looking for a driving job and found a post on Craig's List for Greatwide. It was actually posted by a driver who said they just bought out cardinal logistics and need 25 drivers badly to cover new freight. They are offering $5000 sign on bonus and .40 cpm. Out 5-6 days home for 2 full days. And claimed he still got about 3000 miles per week. He said I would have to park the truck in Charlotte, NC and drive to the house (about an hour for me). Does anybody know about them? I have not seen any posts for them in several years and just want to know if they are a decent company or if this guy is just trying to get a referral bonus check. Thanks!

I am also looking at Western Flyer Express out of OKC. Out 10-21 days with 2-3 days off, but their trucks have apu's and they claim 90% drop and hook and 3000 miles a week, .39 cpm in a 60 mph truck running mostly south of I 40. Any opinions out there? probably will start with one next week.

Who is the GreatWide contract with? If I remember right, they tend to just stick with dedicated stuff. I know they've been looking for folks in Salem, VA for the non-union side of the Kroger account, but I don't know what they're doing down there. Aldi, maybe?
Western Flyer, I know not about, but OTR in a 60mph truck doesn't sound too good, although if their folks really ARE making that kind of money on average, that may not be so bad.

Well the recruiter (at Greatwide Logistics) said that they have many customers so it could be several different ones but they plan you a 5 day run and then you get 2 days off. He said the least you will get is about 2500 miles and may get 3100 - 3200.
I found some stuff at truckers report about Western Flyer Express and had a driver complain that if you have a tire blow out they will charge you for it? But several drivers on there posted that they were getting lots of miles (all said over 3000, one claimed about 4500 a week) and mostly good stuff. One also said if your logs don't match up with the toll receipt they wouldn't reimburse you, but they went to electronic logs so that's no longer a problem. They give you the option of having a 65 mph truck but you get 5 cpm less. I'd rather get the extra pay. The recruiter said they have a lot of freight going through Charlotte and could get by house a few times a week plus the regular hometime, but I'm an hour away was so not sure how that will work for me.

So Greatwide has 2013 Prostars, .40 cpm, and 5 day runs. WFX has 2012-2013 Prostars and Cascadias (with APU's) at .39cpm and can (possibly) get me home a few times a week plus 2-3 days after 10-21 out. Lots of miles and mostly drop and hook. If Greatwide had apu's then it would be easier decision but I have a mini fridge that I prefer over the Coleman plug in kind.

Well, the recruiters are supposed to call me today, so maybe will know something soon. Thanks for the reply!

Oh and Schneider has a position close to me too doing loads out of a Target DC about 30 miles from me. Picking up multi stop loads to stores. Pays .35 cpm plus stop pay, out 5 days, home 2. I asked recruiter why .35 for 5 years exp. and he said you get home more so lower pay.
