Thinking about the tanker business does anyone know about the pay scale for Linde bulk drivers? Is Linde in
Fort Worth Texas union or non-union?
Thanks!

The best way to get a reliable answer to your question, would be to ask a Linde driver whom works in the Fort Worth area.

Feeder Fred, a member here, works for Linde in Sacramento CA and can best describe the Linde experience. You have to remember that the pay scale in Texas is lower than most other states.

Howdy...good thing I decided to drop by..DFW is non union, BUT it is company policy to pay similar wage scales across the board at Linde, union or not. Once you learn the job, your trip pay "should" average 22-23 an hour. However your first year you will be paid at 90% of the regular drivers. You can expect a fairly steady 60-70K a year(your first year) even in Texas. Benefits are decent and fairly priced, even on the non union side. Our one advantage is that we have the Teamster pension and the non union shops have the Linde 401K, which is pretty generous actually. Overall, if you can stand the micro management, which includes People Net (EOBR) and Drive Cam (on board video cam-which the union shop's do not have) it's not a bad job. Easy, clean unloading, truck does all the work, no waiting, steady work week and you can actually have a life outside of work. Any other questions feel free to ask. If you have no cryogenic tanker experience Linde will train you at your hourly rate. They have never screwed me out of a dime and it is a decent place to work...I just wish they would lighten up on the micromanagement

Thank you, I appreciate the information!

Fred,
just as with every desirable job the company always micromanages, you shuold be quite adapt at it coming from Brown.... I don't think any company micromanages like Brown does. However just like you say if you just do your job and keep your nose clean it hould not be to big of a deal....
