CRE Invited me to refresh with them--

Hi Guys,

Wanted some feed back. I have been of the road for over 3 years, I have TX endorsements, and have been looking for someone to take me back. Cre said the would give me a 10 refresher then send me out of two months of finishing. There training school is in Burns Harbor. What do you guys think, especially G Man.

Best,

KCS

Haven't you heard? There's an "alleged" driver shortage so you don't have to put up with "bottom feeders" like CRE!

Keep looking!

The problem( besides the 3 yr) is your not checking ALL the carriers, don't just read what the website says CALL them. I got on with Crete and I hadn't been in a truck for about 2-3 years. check em out and good luck

Great idea, I look at there site and did a application today, lets see what they say, and I call them. Thanks for the heads up Repete! Tell, how are things going with them and where are you, I am currently in Fla, but will relocate if need be.

crete is hiring out of florida again? I thought they ended that idea after the lake butler wreck that got all the kids hurt.

Bottom feeder is only one problem. They are racking up a real nice CSA score and are rapidly making themselves a prime target for DOT enforcement.

I posted this on another thread also, but it fits in here nicely

Trucker Charity Inc
One more driver going to be home with his family. CR England let this drivers trainer leave him at a truck stop in Washington State. The driver was inside eating lunch and the trainer just left. That simple. Taking all the belongings of this driver with him. CR England refused to help this driver left in an emergency winter storm with nothing more then his wallet and coat. As directed by Us the driver did file a theft report against the driver that stole his belongings with a mode of interstate transportation. The State police issued a warrant as its interstate felony larceny. What a great welcome this driver has received to trucking. We were able to get him booked on a flight home from Washington state to Mississippi. The reason why the trainer left this man. He refused to chain up at 3am in the morning on the side of the road. He said he would rather just wait a few hours until the sun came up and where in a safe spot to chain. I personally spoke with this man Rep at CR. I was told that anytime a driver refuses to drive no matter if it legal or not. They can end there training contract. The best part. CR England will not release any employment history on this driver as they say he now owes them $1100.00 for not working for them for 1 year. This driver still says he did not quit. He wants to finish his obligation. Why 3 months of training? Because this driver refused to lease a truck. He wanted to remain a company driver. So they had him running team with trainers trying to break him.

It might be to late to help this guy, Fredog but hopefully it will help others.

BTW that post/link should be made a sticky Re; CRE

CRE, has a steady flow of drivers so they do not need to pay good money, I worked for them for 2 years and they will always look for a way to keep your pay down
