Looking to get back to work.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and had a question about companies. a little about myself: I am 28 years old and have had a commercial license since 2002 it started with a class B (i was a bus driver from 2002-2006) then in 2006 i got my class A and drove for a local trucking company (southern california only) i was involved in an accident in nov. 2008, company truck only. and the company decided to let me go. i went back to my previous employer, the bus company. i only stayed there for 2 months (dec 2008 - feb 2009) and decided it was best if i stayed home and took care of my son (wife works). now i want to get back to work . i've been contacting companies and all have been telling me due to the termination i wouldnt be able to work for them for about 5 years. my question is does anyone know of any companies in or near southern california (san bernardino area) that may look past this? thanks for any info!!

5 years sounds a little much to me. Its a tough environment to be getting back into driving. Good Luck to you.
Did you try a seasonal produce hauling job? Maybe from fields to packing plant or something? Might be a way to get your feet wet again.
