Looking for more local work

About a year ago I was having trouble finding work and did the CDL school and hooked up with PAM. I finished up my year so my school is paid for. I'm thinking now of moving on.

I'm interested in local distribution like driving Pepsi or Beer trucks. Or maybe Frito Lay.

If that doesn't work I wondered if a driver with 1 year experience can get anything regional or dedicated. Also when I got my CDL I got the Tanker endorsement so I might consider that kind of work as well.

Right now I live in southern Michigan near both Indiana and Ohio. Kind of a rough economy but I'm looking at Coldwater, MI and Angola, IN for work.

Right now, it is tough all over, but there are still decent jobs. You will have to knock on doors to find the one that will fit you.

As the other poster said the best way to find those jobs is to look at the websites of the companies you want to work for (Pepsi does applications via internet) or to contact their HR department. When you apply look PROFESSIONAL not like you would fit in at a truck stop. Have a resume professionally prepared and keep contacting the company after you have applied.

Best of luck to you!
