I've hauled several CH loads and knew that they were brokers but I'm sure that I saw CH flatbed trucks out west.

Yeah....its middlemen like these ya-hoos that are eating up all the fuel surcharges and increased shipping costs that the operators are supposed to get! Thats why they don't feel the effects of this economy! They are so big they control the trucking rates. Truckers will one day figure out that they will never have bargaining power until they join together and associate for the welfare of each other. That article was sickening!

They didn't get their nickname of Cheap and Heavy Robinson for nothing. :wink:

Not all brokers are bad. They can serve a useful purpose. Some pay decent rates. It is up to the carrier or owner operator to find the better brokers and negotiate a fair rate. The alternative is to find your own shippers. That requires time. If you want to use your own shippers then you will need to provide them the level of service they expect or they will go elsewhere. Just because a cheap rate is offered doesn't mean that you must accept it.

They said $3,025.

I said there ain't no motivation, on that load.
The motivation on that load is $6,100.

It may still be there, for all I know.

Not all brokers are bad but I have met more bad ones than good ones, like CH Robinson's cheap freight!!

I hauled a load for RAYTRANS on 15 May and still haven't gotten paided!!

Sounds like they need drivers in the E.U.!!!
