Personally, I have never been to Canada with Marten, nor have I hauled Haz-Mat.

But then again, I let my endorsement go and I have reasons that I cannot go into Canada

Cool...thanks for the info

Haz mat looks like a headache anyways

No problem. To me, it's not worth it.

I usually don't have a problem with haz-mat. Sometimes it sucks taking the haz-mat route around cities but we get $25 for picking up haz-mat and $25 for delivering it. I'll take the extra $50. I went to Canada once with Marten, to Montreal. Crossed at Champlain in about 5 minutes. After spending all day unloading and reloading at the same place, where everyone spoke french, it took me 6-7 hours to get back into my own country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare so I don't go to Canada anymore, no matter where it crosses. A couple months ago they wanted me to swap with someone that came out of New Orleans with haz-mat going somewhere in Ontario crossing in Detroit. I kindly said no but really wanted to say no f'ing way. I'd consider going if they would pay for the extra hassle of it. 8) 8)

No, Marten made sure they were up to CA specs before they installed them.

But remember, CA can and probably will change things.

Has Marten ever commented why the don't step up and get

the I-Pass toll box to put in the tractors so drivers don't have to fiddle with

the T-Checks when it comes toll time :?:

Sure seems a little behind the times

Heck, thats at the least of drivers complaints! If theyd at least put pre passes in the trucks alot of drivers would be happier.Having to pull into every single open weigh station gets tedious.Howveer they do give u the packet for you to ENROLL YOURSELF in too it though.Still, theyre one of very few large carriers who dont run prepass.

I think it has a lot to do with keeping track of the transponders and dealing with them getting stolen and drivers taking them when they quit. It definitely is a pain in the ass not to have them. It's also a way to control drivers taking the toll roads for no reason. If we have to pay cash it curbs drivers from taking the toll roads, even though there's a discount with the transponders. I don't even mess with the t-cheks. I just advance money when I fuel and make sure I have enough in my pocket to deal with tolls.

I got pre-pass myself. It's worth it to me so I don't have to deal with the weigh stations and stop at the port of entry. 8) 8)

Hey,

if you get to the final drop and it works out where u go to sleep

and then have to get back up later that night( about 8 hrs later)

to run a mile or less down the

street to connect with your unload time....will the Log book enforcement

squad nail you next time they scan your logs ?

Not that i want to be outlaw but i gotta be on time you know.

Gotta keep everyone happy ...

Seems no matter how hard i try i end up having to wiggle around these

15 or 30 log book windows.
