There have been hints about it - especially through the last part of the thread.

Evidently, something got arranged to either prevent it or delay it.

7 days off in a row? How many days did you work? Are you happy with Marten?

WHAMMO!

I get 1 day off for every 5 out, so I was out 35 days. I'm home again right now for a fire department function that was last night. I was back out for 20 days so I came home to take thurs, fri, sat, sun off. I got home Wednesday morning which was nice because I had a million things to do. I'm supposed to head back out tomorrow so we'll see how that works out. I'm probably not going to come home until around memorial day so I'll be out 40 days and come home for at least 8 days. Probably more because I have 2 days banked and don't like coming home or leaving back out on a weekend. I'm pretty happy here for the most part. I do have to get on the horn with my fleet manager this week and bug him about getting a long one out west a little more often than I have. I get the miles with the shorter trips (600-1200) but it's nice to just ride for a couple days.

What has been nice lately compared to when I was here a couple years ago is taking the trailer home with me. I used to have to screw around taking the empty trailer to a couple of our customers that wasn't very close to my house and then screwing around getting an empty after home time. I think in effort to cut down on uncompensated fuel costs they're sending the trailers home with drivers that want/can take them home. It works out great for me as they have a newer customer 15 minutes from my house where as the closest customer to my house we have trailers at is an hour away.

Maybe we'll really find out what this thread was about someday :?: 8) 8)

Maybe Sheepdancer was giving up on recruiting, and becoming a driver!! :o

He has not posted much lately, he may have been in school!

Heck, who knows, sounded like a good rumor to start! Cheers! Belly up to the bar!
