If you take the Me one then you are pretty dumb.
I just asked for a load this morning from Houston and got 3 choices. Houston to Houma, La 322 miles 2/23-2/25 Houston to Laurel, Ms 465 miles 2/24-2/25 Evadale, Tx to Marion, In 1031 miles 2/24-2/26 Wanna guess which one I took? Forgot the destination and apologize. |
Sterling IL Walmart Delivery for a week run????
Nah, I guess not..... |

That Sterling dedicated is no more but did 4 times was asked to do it. The last time in their last month of that account they saif that time that I had no choice but had to go to Sterling after a delivery at Minnoka. I just said that I always had Choices and came to Crete as a national driver and not local somewhere a long wau from home. I said I was going to the truck stop and when a national load came I would be ready. The dispatcher tried to force the issue. My manager at the Ottawa terminal even called me to say I had to and I declined. Needless to say as I pulled into the truck stop I got a national load. |
Did they ever get the Minooka off/on ramp project completed???? What a pain in the butt.
They tried that run on me too after I had been out for 5 weeks and waiting for a load home. I told the dispatcher that at my stage in life nothing was mandatory but death. He failed to see my humor and that is when I told him to take the truck, trailer and load and put them somewhere where the sun doesnt shine, and quit. |

I took the In. Load. The La. last time took 5 hours to get unloaded last time and the load after that was picking up the next day and it was crap. The Ms. load is that Wal Mart place and the last time there I had to wait a day and a half to get a load at no pay of course. The time b4 I got a load quick last year and before that it was a 2 day layover at no pay. I am assuming that it would have been no loads out of there again this time of year. I sent 3 Transflos before I went to the house and got back to the truck and 2 came over the Quallcomm that was supposedly never sent. I went from a very good week for my home time to a crappy payday week. So with them two loads and this In. load I will have a good week hopefully. Good luck Ever. I live here and this is normal for down here. |

Hmm, what times of day are those deliveries? and to whom do they deliver? You're right, those three are hard choices--bad either way-- assuming early morning delivers with each-- (1) is 322/2days=161 a day (2) is 465/2days=232 a day (3) is 1031/3days=343 a day so I too would have gone with (3)--- assuming they all have delivery appontments= before noon. |
All times are GMT. The time now is 06:17 AM. |
