@Zip I see you've done some editing...don't worry..I won't tell-- I saw it earlier-- so, are you doing their training program? how is it?
Kennesaw doesn't/didn't look too bad last time I checked on them-- they run a lot of Ga- Ca freight? but, not sure if they let the solo go all the way to the left coast with it. Week#10 Final Figures: Well, went home with 846 in the bank-- was late getting my rear loaded & out the driveway Thursday- but, managed 194DH to Pine Bluff,Ar then 417 loaded to Iola, Ks. So, that puts the weeks total to: 1457 with ~ 4 days home in the middle. Not great but expectable considering I live in the middle of the country. |
Week#11
March 14-21st I start this week off finishing up the little load to Iola,Ks- I wake up to a qualcom message from Acme maintenance -- that "their records show my truck is currently 12,324 miles overdue for B-Service. To go directly to a terminal, do not pass GO, and get it done. So, when I send my empty message- I send a little message telling the next travel agent that We need to plan a whole day with the nuckle heads so I can get my Brakes and A/C fixed too. To which, I get a ld assignment straight to my truck- no "offer" just the direct ld info. Iola, Ks-- Ruther Glen, Va 1188 for Monday Morning. Then I'm asked if Indy or Columbus is n route. To which I reply isn't. But, KC is close enough. At 5pm I pull into KC- drop my trailer and check-in with the service writer-- He asks if I'm prepared to wait until Monday "sometime"-- to which I respond that I was instructed to head straight to a shop-- to which he responds-- it wasn't his problem to which I respond--- there's no way in hell I'm setting all weekend for a oil change, See Ya, and that's the reason right there that the truck is currently 12,000 miles overdue on service. |
Thats what happens when you take a Blue truck into a Red truck terminal.
Now had you been in New Kingston......... |

Tonight, I'm here in Columbus- waiting until Morning for said service-- at least they run a shift on Sunday. Will probably drop this load-- here and call Sunday a (Yard Day) |
We were in NK earlier this week. In a blue truck. And they were... Umm, what's the word I'm looking for? Probably blocked by profanity filters.
Just asked for a few things (wiper fluid and a few similar items), and you'd swear we had asked the sun and the moon and the stars. We really got the crap attitude when we asked them to cut another key. I agree about Lincoln. Was there for some stuff with last trainer (EGR, I believe). Of course, that was in a red truck, so YMMV. |

headborg, I double checked the logs on that San Jon to Laughlin run. Trainer drove for about four hours, I got seven, or thereabouts. Good weather, mostly easy running.
Salt Lake City terminal tonight. |
