Pretty poor reason to work for a lousy company like USX.

I was thinking along the same lines--but didn't want to voice it...
yeah, I like to be warm in my bunk---opti-idle sometimes fails to kick in HVAC controller error-but I've got mine to idle continously anyway.....with
a system like that...by end of winter---I'd be getting passed by the Amish in their buggies until summer.
Could probably hitch up a team of ox and go faster.

Kbraut832- CFM has a very good point- You live close enough to Houston( Spring,TX) with your experience---why not a local gig?
I could understand- if you lived out in the sticks like I do- or is it
personal choice?[/quote]

Can't find a local job that pays enough, need to make more than 1K a week. Any suggestions?

Not tryinh to be a recruiter, just telling ya what you can get at Barr Nunn, With your 7 years and if you have Hazmat you would start at .41 per mile with fairly regular increases and bonuses.

Barr-Nunn doesn't hire out of Texas, I have spoken with them before.

I drive for KLLM, 7 yrs otr will get you .41 and .03 bonus if you run 30k each quarter. Will make about 57k this yr., running legal and sleeping at night.

They have been a good fit for me since '93 but like all companies they are not for everyone, but worth a phone call to a recruiter.

Newer trks have APU'snd those that don't can idle without alot of grief, theyjust askyou to shut off when not in the truck and when you can to save on $3 plus a gallon fuel.
