Challenger Motorfreight

First of all hi to all truck drivers out there and drive safe. I have just one question and i accepting all coments about the Challenger. I've been in trucking business for year now ... entire year i was driving for owner/operators ... first i started in team and than i switched to single ... i decided to switch to company driver ... i applied to several companies and challenger wast the one that hired me on spot ... next week i'm supposed to start orientation with them ... however i can't shake off the feeling that challenger is not for me ... i mean the milage is not the best (.37) ... life insurance kinda suck .... medical and dental only 80% ... they guarantie only 2000/2500 per week for single driver (got heads up that they have slow periods also) ... Ontario is where i live atm ... plenty of other companies but i wanted to know your opinion about Challenger

best regards

Challenger is a good company to start with. I know a couple of people who work for them. The don't have any complaints that I'm aware of.

Since I see them in MI (my agent's stomping ground), I guess they're running good. They're all over Michigan. Thats my .02. I didn't vote.

I'm quite interested in them myself, to explore if they could possibly fit into my plans to relocate to the rust belt in the US....just as a possible option, that's all.

You might wish to check out Yanke as well. Apparently, they're pretty good. I got in touch with them about a month or so ago, and spoke to a recruiter, who emailed me their payment details ( their website doesn't have it ). Even though they want atleast 2 years' OTR experience, they're planning to come up with a training programme for new drivers. If you're interested, do send me your email id, so that I can attach a copy of what Yanke sent me. BOL.
