Fed Ex Hub to Hub runs
 

Anyone have experience doing these?

Had a recruiter for a small company (L.C Transport in Mt Airy N.C.) tell us this is their main gig. They run east of the miss as far north as Newark and south to Tampa. Its all airport drop and hook between fed ex hubs. Decent pay for right out of school .34 after 3 months training.

Several big companies do these runs as well but these guys are the 5 largest measured in number of runs. Its almost all they do.

Be careful. FedEx wants those loads absolutely, positively on-time. That's why I always stayed away from JIT (Just In Time) freight like auto parts and parcel. Tight delivery windows and lots of pressure to cook the books. What happens if you get behind the eight-ball because of traffic or weather? You could have a whole terminal full of people waiting on your freight and your dispacther calling you ever 5 minutes asking "When you gonna be there?" Then you're glued to the seat with no time to stop and take a piss. Personally, I don't like driving under those conditions. But to each their own.
