CR Englands New Lease Pay

CR England has a new lease pay as of june 1st, it is now 91 cents a mile, and they defer your 1st lease payment so you can start making money right away, and they have added alot more incentives to get drivers to lease with them, I trained with CRE back in 05 but they were paying only 85 cents a mile in the lease program and you had to make your 1st lease payment then.

I did not lease with them and left, after a bad experience with swift I returned to england and had to take the school all over again, I went out 3 weeks with a lease driver and he told me alot about the lease program, I still think that if your going to lease then CRE is just a 5 on a 10 scale, and their company driver program is very bad, if you go company they put you at the bottom of the list and you can expect to start at 26 cents a mile with about 1800 miles a week, not much money there.

In any case good luck to all who seek a good home with a good company.

That is not allot of miles at all! (or money) Leasing is still a pretty scary thing to me as a new driver. I think that I would need at least two years on the road before I would even consider a lease no matter who the company is.

Since you are back at CRE are you going to try the lease? You would hopefully think that it would be better for a company driver than 1800 miles. I have read lots of your posts and hope that it will work out good for ya at CRE. Maybe the second time is a charm right?

Every time someone complains they are not making it in one of these rip off programs the company tells them they are not working hard enough.

In today's world it is not about working harder. It is about working smarter.

Now with 5% less exploitation!

L/P has been beat to death on here. Don't do it.

If they were paying $2.00/mile they would still find a way to take most of it back. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Let's say you do 2800 miles a week. At .91 a mile that is $2548.
2800 miles divided by 5.5 mpg is 509 gallons of fuel. 509 gal x $3.00 a gal is $1527. $1021 is left. Then subract lease payment on truck, bob-tail insurance, physical insurance, Occupational hazard insurance, admin fees, maintinence miles. You will be left with about $200-$300 dollars for the week. That's if you didn't eat while you were out on the road. That's also without paying your taxes and accountant fees. Even if you add a fuel surcharge you will not come out with much. Be carefull!
Get the picture  You have to know your expenses before you get involved in a lease purchase.

o/o expenses on average 0.85-.90 cpm, thats for truck payment, insurance, tags, fuel etc.., i never understood how these guys make money signing up with or taking on a lease that pays only enough to cover expenses
