Back With CR England

Well considering what ive been through with swift I decided to go back to CR England in utah to get my training finished, I was givin a great trainer, this guy is a very patient person and very understanding to the needs of the trainee, he has me driving at night which I am not a night person so its a little tough for me but I push myself real hard to do it, he doesnt have me driving past 1 am and I usually take my shift at 2pm or 3pm, we have a dedicated from portland OR, to atlanta GA, and back, I get 2 days off in a hotel by myslef. in portland OR

I know alot of drivers think that england is a bad company, but at this point while im training, I would rather sacrifice a good comapny for a bad one as long as I have a very good trainer and I do, because its not the company you have to deal with on a day to day basis in the truck, its the trainer , and having a good trainer can make all the diffrence in the world.

I will consider another company after I get my 6 months in.

BTW 2 years ago when I trained with england the 1st time, they were pushing the lease program at 85 cents a mile, but it has gone up to 91 cents a mile, also 2 years ago you started the lease in debt with england, but now they defere the first payment on the lease so as to give you a chance to make money first, so your first payment is not due till the second week, I myself am not going to lease a truck, even though it seems that england has actually started putting alot of effort into the lease drivers. but for whatever any of you new drivers decide I wish you the best, and I hope that you get a trainer like the one ive gotten. Have a great day and maby ill see you out there. good luck.

Regardless of how they try to package it their lease program is still garbage.

As sure as the sun comes up in the morning, there will be weeks where you make NO money and you'll still have to make the lease payment...it will hurt! Tell that to your landlord or mortgage company....

CR England

So many companies count on ignorant, or downright stupid, drivers. I was one early on. CR England is easily the biggest bottom feeder I've heard of, and they have been since I started driving 13 years ago. Trucking pimps in my opinion.

I don't know, they all suck in slightly different ways.

Covenant gets an honorable mention for asking their drivers to purchase chains for a company truck in the winter!

Covenant

Covenant does not ask drivers to buy chains. They give the driver the option of buying there own chains or the company buying them. If you are running in a chain area alot you should just buy them due to other drivers getting you chains cause they dont have them. If you own them you always know they are on your truck

That's the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time.
