Gordon Trucking or Interstate Distributors

I am looking into going to Sage Trucking School in Idaho and when I am through the two companies that I am considering are Gordon Trucking or Interstate Distributors. I would appreciate information as to the better company or any other companies you think are very good. I live in Oregon and would prefer western regional.

I could be wrong, but i think Gordon has a yard in clackamas.

I drive for Gordon and am happy with them. I run mostly up and down the west coast, sometimes into Canada, and occasionally other places. The miles are good and their pay scale is higher than most other companies out there.

If you live in Oregon, Gordon has terminals in both Clackamas and Medford.

Good luck to you.

I had a Gordon recruiter call me today and told me they have a midwest regional in my area. He also said something about a "Flexible Regional" but it didnt dawn on me till now to ask him what that is. Does anyone know what that is. I will call him in the AM but for now I am asking you.

Gordon has a midwest fleet based out of Green Bay, WI, but I don't know what the "Flexible Regional" is. Never heard that term before. I usually run on the west coast but I just got back from the midwest (Lima, OH). That could have something to do with it.

For what it's worth, the major newspaper in Milwaukee, WI (The Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel) almost every Sunday has an ad for Gordon's Green Bay, WI midwest fleet.

Nothing on GTI's website yet about "Flexible Regional."

ok, I just went out to check my mail. What do you know, a Gordon envelope. In it, it has a pay chart of all the diffrent types of runs. They have midwest regional, a Midwest Flexible and a Midwest Traditional. The pay is a little diffrent also. The Midwest Flexible is 7 - 10 days out with up to 2 days off. Where the regional is home every week and the traditional is out for 10-14 days home for 2.

What is Gordon's time at home policy. I live in the I-5 corridor and for regional how many days out usually.

Where at on the I-5 corridor do you live? You could be home quite a bit on the right fleet. Actually, if you get the right dispatcher you could be home quite often on the long-haul board too.

1 day for every 7 out. But if you're on I-5 and you can time it right, you could be home to sleep every other day.
