You drove for them for 1 month are have you drove for them since Jan '07.??

Just tell me what your experience was with them .

I started with SRT as a brand new driver, and I left them in January. After about 4.5 months solo experience.

With SRT you will be pulling both dry and reefer vans. Lower 48 plus Canada. They want you to have or get hazmat, but there are a number of drivers there that don't. It is forced dispatch. They were supposed to be starting direct deposit into checking/savings when I left (otherwise they use COMDATA).

The dispatcher I had was good at getting me home when I asked. The only major time that I did not get home when I wanted to was not the dispatchers fault, but the failure of another driver to do his job.

I'm assuming your an experienced driver, so I'm not going to say anything about the training program.

They are a part of Covenant, but they stay pretty much out of your hair - unless you get involved in an accident or there is bad weather.

There is only 1 terminal (Texarkana, AR), but several drop yards are used. You will also frequent the Covenant drop yards.

There were very few times that I sat for more than 18 hours to wait for a load.

Hope this helps.

I drove for them for 2 weeks. As a veteran driver I found they want to micro manage their fleet. Many qualcom messages that were needless for anyone with experience. Even though I was only there 2 weeks was charged $500 pet fee, they call deposit but is a fee as it is not refundable even with no damage. They say I owe them $100 and sent it to a collection agency.

very rarely sat for more that 18 hours for a load???huh. i think i would not sit for 18 hours for a load...maybe in my living room watching tv and drinking a beer, but that is the only time.

So thats why Ive been seeing SRT trucks pulling Covenant reefers alot down here in california

Many times I would get my next load assignment as soon as I sent the macro saying I was either at my final destination or empty. The vast majority of times when I did have to wait, it was like on the order of less than 5 hours. The longest I had to wait was 18 hours.

The reason why you see a bunch of Covenant trailers behind SRT tractors is because Covenant dropped their refrigerated division.

stupid

yet again another driver who knows it all. Driver you need to step back and look at something. You say all Covenant has dropped there refer Division. Well driver you are wrong. I have been there now for 6 months and have pulled 90% refer. They are 95% of there solo drivers to the newest company they bought "Star Transport, outta tenn" then they are also moving some solos to SRT. Covenant made a name for its self to its customers by providing top notch team freight relocation. Just wanted to let you know before you miss lead someone
