Don Hummer Trucking

Can anyone tell me about Don Hummer Trucking? Or Hummer of Iowa? That's his son's division. They're a realtively small company out of Oxford, Iowa, I have never heard one way or the other about them. Just curious if anyone has any info on them, other than what I have gotten from the websites and recruiters.

Thanks in advance.

There was a thread about this a few months ago. Some were making fun of the name.

Hmmm, let's see...If you would've looked at my first post, you would have seen that I already checked their website and talked to a recruiter. Was hoping that, maybe JUUUUUST maybe, that either worked there, currently works there, etc. would chime in.

But I guess if you'd have done your research (ever tried it?), you would've known that, huh??

Well...

you can see why I got a little pissy. Not too many people like it when they are accused of being lazy, when they stated that they already did research. That questions my credibility and character. I know others come in here not wanting to do the work and want others to do it for them and then blame others for bad info. I.E.: Stranded in Davenport, IA. Even though that was a completely different deal, it's the laziness factor thing.

Anyway...I did a a search for other threads and didn't see anything, can someone possibly lead me to that direction?

I had a chance to buy a near new truck that was part of a huge return of the Hummer fleet. Couldn't find out why they got rid of 2006 freightliners but know they did get rid of about 150 of them.

When I talked to a recruiter, I asked them about the type of power units they drove and she said they use International 9400i's forever and were going to switch to the Freightliners, but they weren't happy with the test units they had, so they cancelled their order. they run anywhere from 120-150 trucks, so that maybe why.

Did your come with the automatic?? That's what Don Hummer uses...all auto fleet.
