Tell me your opinion about scams

I have heard about many scams targeting trucking companies and many companies fell for such scams and lost thousands of dollars. I believe before trusting any company we should cross check whether the email or call you are receiving is from original company and this can be done by comparing email ID/phone number by visting a Company's official website or calling them.There are lot of scammers trying to reach and waiting for us to make a single mistake which can ruin the whole business.
