TMC daycabs?

Where does TMC run day cabs? I was parked next to a pete 379 day cab (I think) on I-74 eastbound in Illinois earlier this afternoon. He was running bobtail and the truck looked brand new like it hadn't even been used yet.

just curious where they are running these

I currently operate a daycab for TMC http://www.goldiesplating.com/flatbe..._dedicated.htm on a Northeast dedicated route. We have them at a lot of our dedicated account customers nationwide where the runs are short enough to be completed in one day thus not requiring a driver to sleep in his truck. those drivers go home every evening.

They run them in Irving, Tx for Owins Corning hauling shingles. Rumor is that they haul shingles in other cities.

Are shingles contagious? :P

Yes, shingles often reproduce and multiply. Luckily they are only contagious at certain locations. But once in those infection sites they will quickly multiply on every flatbed around. The cure is Hyster shots. 15-16 shots are needed to get rid of the scourge. :P

I saw one of those daycabs at the Pilot in Robinson, TX a few weeks ago. They look killer. As long as they're not governed at 65 I might look into it. But, hell, I love my sleeper! So soft. So comfy. 8)

Since they are only day cabs, would they be called ... "Super Shingles?" Sorry, couldn't resist. Have a great week!
