I wanted to drive for them. I hear they are a very very good company. We are talking about the maroon trucks out of NJ right.

whorutommy 10-08-2006 07:52 PM

New Centurys trucks are top rate, all late model Kentworths with condo sleepers equipped with generators for microwaves, fridge etc

My father has worked for them for 3 years, 2 OTR and 1 year local in New England. Just transferred to Tuckload Division out of Martinsburg WV. Excellent company and benefits...lot of former Jevic personnel that went with Harry are with both Divisions. Truckload division pay is slightly less than LTL pay, but a hell of a lot less aggravation. Truckload is dispatched out of WV, treated like a separate Company than regular New Century. LTL trucks are T600's with 86' studios and T2000's all have APU's, all automatics(Eaton Fuller), Super Singles...Truckload DIvision trucks are T600's with all the same but with smaller sleepers.

Thx U

Thanks all 4 your input, im riddin with New Century! Also thanks 4 input on Sharkey and Jevic , i had asked about earlier this month. Im not the type 2 jump ship, but with current employer, ive been waiting since July 4 miles and loads 2 get better, now the bottom line is finances. I will now invest New Century, I will give it atleast 3 months til im up 2 speed with there operations, but after that anything seems shakey, i will jump ship, no more waiting for better days, 4 me. Cost way to much![/b]
