Need to run to WI and TX

I have 3 years experience at Covenant. Good company but they couldn't get me back to Texas often enough to see my daughter. My stuff is in WI. Does anybody know of a small to mid-size company that runs in the midwest and south central???

Yes. What are you looking for? Do you want to stick with vans or do something else?

Try Knight. If you are willing to stay out at least a couple of weeks at a time they usually have lots of freight going to Texas.

You could try either Deboer from Blenker,WI or Roadready Transfer out of Wausau,Wi. They both, from what I have seen of them, run strong Wi. to Tx. freight.

Every so often,Knight out of Katy,Tx runs an ad in our paper. Well,a lot of the major carriers do on Sundays. I was at my dad's on one Sunday, and he was telling me about the trucking ads. He told me about Knight, having an all Texas regional. I was curious. I called Knight, and I told the recruiter where I lived, and I asked her what they have to offer. She was like,"we are based out of Katy, and we have a Texas regional for the Texas drivers that runs Texas, and the surrounding southern states. We just run southern states." I thought,"ah,how nice.". Then she said,"you may run anywhere from California,to Florida, and be home weekly." I was like  California to Florida? That isn't exactly what I would call regional. :P She asked me if I wanted to fill out an app. I said,"um no,I was just curious." :P

Jackrabbit, I think what the recruiter was trying to tell you is that you could run regional or expand it out as much as you wanted. I know of a few Knight drivers who live in TX that rarely get out of the state, and if the do it is into states like OK, LA, AR, etc.
