Default Indian River Transport (food grade tanker)

#2 milk hauler in the country but they haul just about anything food grade in their tanks including juice, wine, and oil.
I've been here 3 years and we tend to keep a revolving door. DRIVERS are lured by good equipment and above average pay but falter because either they are unable to work as hard as is expected or just generally don't know what's expected. IRT is primarily an OTR company that services all lower 48 and Canada this in turn requires you to stay out 3 weeks but home time can be generous if your a good driver. Pay is typically .45 CPM for top tier drivers with an additional .10 CPM for runs under 400 miles, anything under 250 miles is paid percentage. Your miles are calculated from the FREIGHT BILL and are normally within 3%, bravo.
Benefits are atrocious and expensive but that seems to be par for the course. For the weeks that I'm out my gross income (3000x .45)is $1400.
If you are inexperienced or unwilling to drive 600 miles per day during all hours of the day every day, you will fail here and they'll just starve you out. I've been pulling tanker for 12 years all 48 and all of Canada (in the winter) and plan on doing it for another 12. Attitude is everything and if your a solar powered driver (day time) who only works 8.5 hours a day because he never runs out of hours this way, will FAIL with this company and likely everywhere else.

What constitutes 'generous' home time? Also, do they have any terminals other than the main one in Florida? I've thought about them, but hadn't really looked much into them.

Terminals in Clovis, NM. Turlock, CA.and a new terminal opening soon near Philadelphia. Hometime is entirely dependent on revenue to the truck, if your a cheese dick you are lucky to get any.

Yep. Indian River has been a topic on this board a few times. Never good. A tanker coolie carrier.

They suck. Indian River seems to carry the OTR tanker SUCK flag. Congrats management.

Sign on if you're looking to live in a tent, doing 3000 miles a week while the wife is milking the real local driver milkman.

If so, you're hallucinating.
