Default JB Dedicated or Schneider OTR?

I have to choose between two jobs. Please tell me what you know about these jobs and companies if you have experience with these companies (pros and cons). I need to choose fairly quickly. Orientation is set up for Sunday with Schneider but JB Hunt guy called today offering dedicated position. Thanks much for your help!

JB Hunt Dedicated
Minneapolis, Green Bay, Indianapolis (WI, IL, IN)
out of Bolingbrook, IL terminal
multi-stop loads
$55k/year (average)
40cpm
$4.60/15 minutes detention pay
100% no touch freight
34 hrs off (reset) on Sun-Mon
1-2 nights at home during the week

Schneider National regular OTR Dry Van
out of Gary, IN
36cpm
$35k-55k/year?
2 days off then 3 days off alternating...after out 14 days
not all no touch (I am guessing)
use bunk heater

Schneider is hiring drivers for a dedicated customer out of Cedar Falls IA, many loads headed to Chicago and back (or Chicago to IA and back). You might want to ask them about that.

I thought that JB would required a year of experience with JB Hunt to get a dedicated position. Ask them about that.

Better double check with Hunt on the Dedicated Route.I know several people that have been offered Dedicated Routes. When they get to Orientation the Dedicated Route is full,so they are put into OTR.Good mileage pay,but no miles.

Thanks guys! Schneider pays the same rate (.36) for their regional and dedicated as OTR. According to the recruiter, with the regional, you will only get about 2100 miles.

I will ask the JB Hunt recruiter guy about the dedicated route. I have heard OTR with JB is low miles.

The best person to ask is Sheepdancer. He no longer recruits for JB, however, he does have a good idea about what a recruiter might tell you. Also, he may other opportunities with other companies that he does recruit for.

Good luck.
