It's late... I'm tired.. Feeling kinda Looney myself... How you doing tonight?

Let's see If I understand the question? are you referring to your boyfriend as a PET? In this case it's a RIDER POLICY question? You "house broke/potty trained" your boyfriend at CRST?

In either case, most small companies allow pets & riders- as long as you pay a pet deposit( $250.00) and or have your PET( Rider ) sign an insurance waiver. Larger companies that are looking at the most ANAL .05% saving on fuel is gonna say NO PET based on the idea that PET owners Idle their trucks more... clearly Driver Health( and the pr oven health benefits associated with pet ownership) are clearly not a priority with these companies... so get away quickly.

You'd think the number crunchers would compare the savings associated with reduce medical claims to their group medical plan contributions to the
marginal increase in fuel ( if you can even prove that!)
If the company uses APU's or other idle reduction technology-- the case is even more of a mute point. And to thank of all the good Crete drivers that left over that issue-- and now just couple years later-- APU's on their trucks!!

I know that your looking for specifics but I think the list would be much shorter if you asked for the ones that specificaly did not allow pets on the truck.

Roehl said no-way under any circumstances.

I understand their point having gotten into several trucks that had pets and the mess with hair everywhere. Not so much the smell as I havn't really had a problem with that just the mess. I had to pick up a truck that someone had quit on once and their was hair everywhere, dogfood on the floor and it was gross. I refused to get into the truck as I thought it was a safety hazard.

I dont think a $250 deposit is enough. You get a dog or cat that scratches the interior or soils the carpet and maybe the padding to where it has to be replaced that $250 doesnt cover it. I saw a couple in another companies truck let their medium size dog run out in the mud to do his business and when they got ready to go he just jumped in, muddy paws and all. I also think that if you are a smoker you should have to put a deposit down. Lets face it, a portion of our fellow drivers are slobs. Look at how they wash themselves, can you imagine the truck looks any cleaner? I saw a major companies 2009 Cascadia with 30,000 miles on it in a shop while I was getting mine serviced. The service advisor told me to go open the door. It stunk so bad and their was garbage about 3 inches deep on the floor. The bumper was broke, one side tank fairing was broke and both side extenders were bent. I dont know.

Werner allows pets. $250 deposit up front, plus some weekly money taken from the check. I don't know how much, but I can find out. I'm actually looking at taking my Corgi with me (plus, that'll keep me from training, too).

Might go with Ozark or US Xpress. Both take pets.
