http://www.wilsonantenna.com/ngk.htm

I would suggest one of those and put it on a quick release bracket. It will work with trucks like Volvo's and others with "plactic" mirror mounts. You can easily tune the radio (SWR) from truck to truck.

Strikers are great, lowlow background noise and strong signal. I got my SWRs so low, they would hardly register and talked 10 miles. Now I drive a volvo company truck and they frown on you mounting bigol antennas like that... Strikers cost about $65 at the TA in OK City, are hand made and guaranteed forever. Super heavy duty.

I've always had good luck with mine. My buddy has a Wilson 5000. If he talks to one of the Fed Ex guys that have a big radio, he can usually reach out a little further. Other than that, my little hot rod does just as good as his antenna.
