She is not a recruiter for Crete in any official capacity, she's just here trying to get that $1000 bonus that Crete pays its drivers that recruit someone. Personally I wish she would go drive for somebody else. She makes Crete look bad.

Some times I think that driver recruiters are the worst to listen to. The only thing that they are interested in is the bonus. They will tell you anything to get you to use their name. They do not care if you are a good fit or not. Exaggeration is the name of their game.

So true. In this truck, 5 driver applications still sit where the were when this truck was assigned to me.

If companies, Crete included, spent half as much time working to keep the drivers they have, they would not need to spend as much time finding new drivers.

After hearing Crete's new motto, "freight is slow" each time I empty out or "we can't get you home on the day you want", despite one of the major freight lanes (and interstate highways) is less then 20 miles from home, is seems the time has come for a change.

Boy some people on these posts sure make Crete sound like the greatest place on earth. What you just said makes it sound like just an average trucking company.

One of my neighbor's started with crete and he had to leave cause of the company is having trouble getting loads around here.

Sadly, you ARE right on the money here with SOME drivers. That is why I told TMC long ago I did not want and will refuse any referral bonus they may offer me. It tends to undermine your credibility when talking to a newbie about your company. Me? I spend hours talking and writing back to guys because (sad to say) I guess I'm a bored 40 year old who likes "talking shop" and my family is sick of hearing me. :lol:
