They seem to be one of the better carriers that accept noobs.

Gordon is a good outfit. Lots of runs west coast, but I have heard Kona talk about doing runs to the midwest also. Practical miles, decent pay, and appear to treat their drivers right. You could do a lot worse than Gordon.

I ran for them for about a year... If I didnt loathe OTR driving with a passion, Id still be there. They treat their drivers very well.. equipment isnt bad, and you'll run all the miles you can handle (typically)

I liked my time at Gordon. If I were to go back to OTR, they'd be the ones at the top of the list. I live 2.5 hrs from where my home terminal was, and I got home every two weeks, and quite often every week... and I was general fleet. Nice equipment, great atmosphere, and people that actually understand that drivers are what keep them in business. Also, they have an excellent maintenance program. If something is broken, it will be replaced ASAP.

Sounds like more good than bad for Gordon?

Just to add a bit myself, I've seen about 5 of their trucks down in Northern Calie, (since my wife and I frequent up to Ashland, Oregon) and they do drive safely from what we've observed.

I too will be joining up with a school out of Salinas, CA soon(no start date yet, but within' the next two months is the projected plan). I looked at Gordon awhile back and was impressed with their website and how user/informative it was for most of the questions any driver would have.

just my $.02 drivel.

In my research of various truck driving companies to work for, Gordon's ranked the highest. I have neither seen nor heard nothing bad about them anywhere. I'm starting orientation with them next Monday and am looking forward to it.
