I don't quite know what you are trying to say either? But regardless, you are only 1 of thousands of drivers that may have the SWEET run. I congratulate you! But I do have to agree with Big Jeep, your math doesn't add up you maybe you are the one talking out your anus.

Default To Colin...

Your bow is accepted, and acknowledged. Yes you are correct. 4,000+ miles per week. 34 Hour reset at home, and do it all over again. PA to CA to PA to CA to PA.......and so on. Get it?

Wow! Can't we all just get along?

I'm a Crete company driver and will celebrate only my second year as a professional driver on 10/19, so am only paid their minimum mileage pay of .41 cpm practical route. I was paid for exactly 3,300 miles on 10/12/06. After paying 5% into my 401K, my dental & medical insurance premiums and of course federal taxes, (I claim single with none), I brought home $935.37. I'm sure a lot of people make more than that for same amount of miles, but not many with less than two years experience. I'm content with what I make here, but more importantly I love the way I'm treated. I do NOT run illegal in the least nor am I asked/pushed to. I get home on time, usually early, when I want to. The best way I can describe it is that Crete seems to have a good aura surrounding it. At least to me it does so far. I've only worked here for just over five months and everyone seems very helpful and pleasent. Even dispatch! It's not a perfect company, but we all know that doesn't exist. However, I'm very content here so far and I can assure you that I'm far from hanging out on an unemployment line any time soon.

Now...can I get the info on where all the Crete drivers hang out on line.

I'm not knocking Crete ..They pay well ,and from what I've heard from from speaking to drivers on the road that work for them is they are fair to work for ..good miles--and trips and treat you well ....If I was going to stay OTR this would be the company I would be going with , But i want a local job , So I'm taking a leave of abscence for the month and going job hunting if I don't find anything worth my time at the end of this 30 days I will be taking a trip out from Colorado up to Cheyenne wy for orientation.....

Fly By Night:

You said you were paid for 3,300 miles. How many days away from home was that for? Just wondering. By the way if you have 2 years experience you could make that kind of money working Monday thru Friday and be home every night.

dollarshort,

I'm not sure how many days that was for, but it wasn't more than seven. I consider myself a Long Haul/OTR driver and have no problem with being away from home for two to four weeks at a time or more. I average about three to three and a half weeks out then take off four or five days. I know I could make well over that working local where I live, but it would be work and work is a four letter word. Here's a previous post of mine about a local tanker job I was considering.
