Fast

Whats the fastest you have ever driven a truck?

I should also ask what kind of truck it was.

Just curios, what kind of spidometr you have on those trucks? My last two trucks, had 85, for high nomber.

ClassicXL FR8liner - beautiful red chicken hauler truck. Speedo only went to 80 (85?) but was running with others at 90 - 95. (Man, those were the days....)

I was running I-80 in PA this night, when i hear on CB- "WHERE IS THAT WEST BOUND BEAR? i'M RUNNING 105MPH" So i ascked him, how would you know? No responce!

I drive a 2000 Mack Vision 460 pulling a coal bucket. The speedo registers 100. I've ran it up to 87mph before backing out of it.

Was in driving school, the truck I was driving was a 1999 freightliner and it was not governed. On I-80, coming up on three trucks going slower that I was, 65 at the time, by the time I pasted the lead truck I was going 85. The instructor told me I was going 85 when I pasted that truck. 8)

You see, that's the problem! Most of the drivers hwo can run fast, wouldn't do it , inless it's emergency, for few obvious reasons. And a lot of drivers hwo do run fast, have no idea, how to handle such speed! 20+ years ago, i was crazy about speed, and couldn't understand, why older drivers, well, most of them, don't run as fast, as they phisicaly can. Now i know why! I hope, you guys, well, most of you :) ,will drive, and live long enough, to find out for yourself! 8)

You know it's funny, I use to be a speed freak. I use to be a courier in Jacksonville, FL. Id have that little toyota pickup just a cookin.

I have sense then, mellowed out. Now people consider me a granny driver, and Im only 28.

Driving the trucks in cdl school, some of my class mates would ask me to speed up because Id drive slow and smooth.

I dont mind doing 65-70, but after that, I get a little tense.

Way to go Robert! You don't have to be old, to have a common sence! :D Only for some people, it takes longer, and some just never get it!
