Something Shady.....

OK, 14 hrs are almost up, driver is at home terminal, clearly has enough
time to come home and atleast eat dinner, take a shower and
say hi. Claims he wants to drive a little more for early delivery
that is about 5 hrs away, and is in the truck. I will guess most drivers would come home, so having
said that take the poll.

How far away is "home"? It may have just made sense on a rest standpoint to push the load a little further while he wanted too and while he had the hours. Rather than get up drive to work then drive through traffic at that time of the day to get to where is is now..

What would "shady" mean. I'm telling you right now that if you do not trust your spouse then divorce them or shut the hell up!

I voted the one answer you obviously are looking for.

Jackrabbit379 06-07-2007 08:06 AM

Yeah, I'd say, stay at the house. :P

shyykatt 06-07-2007 08:11 AM

Jackrabbit379 06-07-2007 08:12 AM

Well, um..he wanted to ask us what we think...uh, I dunno. :|

shyykatt 06-07-2007 08:15 AM

Fixed.
Sounds more like a wife asking. She thinks her hubby might be cheating. Guess they may need to rethink thier relationship. No trust there. My wife trusts me and I am only gone two nights a week. :D

shyykatt 06-07-2007 08:21 AM

ya'll know how easily confused I can get......Wabbit, 'she'- :?

Jackrabbit379 06-07-2007 08:22 AM

I changed the "he" that he typed to a "she". Hence the word, FIXED.

Confused? I like making people confused :D (j/k)

Jackrabbit379 06-07-2007 08:25 AM

Ahhh, and I thought Shyykatt was confused. :?
Thank ya, Double R.

shyykatt 06-07-2007 08:25 AM

im always confused.....

Jackrabbit379 06-07-2007 08:27 AM

That makes 2 of us.
Shhot, time to go to work. :?

Malaki86 06-07-2007 09:15 AM

I think her hubby has 3 different girlfriends right there where he's sitting. He's probably being "serviced" to the point that even if he could go home, he'd be too wore out to climb out of the truck.

Lucky guy

Heh - this topic makes me remember why I'm sooooooooooooo glad I got divorced...

Re: Something Shady.....

I doubt it. I just gave this some real thought, as someone who has contemplated cheating on more than one occasion, but who hasn't actually done it.

If I had a girlfriend some distance up the road from home, I wouldn't come by the house for a shower, etc. and then head out. I'd probably want to spend as much time as I could with my girlfriend. I assume he'd be motivated by being bored and unhappy with you, and that spending time with the other woman would give him a big thrill. Unless you have access to his Qualcomm or something, you have no idea where the hell he is unless he tells you, so he could have avoided telling you he was anywhere near home. You'd have been none the wiser, and maybe he could have used that extra time he wasted at your house for a double dip.

Therefore, it's probably just you being overprotective and suspicious, which, I can tell you, is a prime motivator that makes guys like me contemplate that other woman seriously.

My wife is SO SO SO SO SO SO SO overprotective and suspicious. It almost wrecked our marriage.

Sounds like my EX. Thank God I never said "I do" to her. Waited till I found the right one :D (who's always right)

madpuppy 06-09-2007 07:00 AM

shady?

8) I have been in the same spot, I would get in from a run and I could get eight hrs. sleep if I stayed where I was, but if I went home I would get maybe three ( 4 hr. round trip commute ) so I would go to a friends house or sleep in the truck  Uh, what was the question?

BanditsCousin 06-09-2007 10:48 AM

The original post is written so horribly and confusing I can't vote.

Is the driver an o/o? Is this a jealous trucker wife? Is Bush gonna learn to give good speeches?

Roadhog 06-09-2007 11:45 AM

BC...I wish you would vote...there is only three of us in the yes category. :?

BanditsCousin 06-09-2007 12:16 PM

If the drive's home is 20miles/20minutes away and he's in town with a vehicle at the terminal or truck parking near the house, then I'd vote "yes"

if I go home, I end up staying up way too long playing guitar and video games with the kid. If i stay in the truck I get there early and sleep, BUT I usually go home anyway and then when I leave after sleeping 1/2 as long as I wanted, I say to myself, I should have just stayed in the truck
