Default September 11th boycott, spread the word!

Let's make a dent in the profits of these monsters: OPEC & the big 3 this 9/11.

SPREAD THE WORD. Put AT LEAST 'one ounce' of vegatable cooking oil in each of your diesel tanks (every little bit WILL COUNT towards our march for foreign oil independence!).

There's a comrade out there in a Mack 18 wheeler using 90 PERCENT veggie oil!

We're preparing a news release for the LATIMES.com and others.

Please critique our intended release (and check for typos) AND SPREAD THE WORD.

A 'one millionth of one persent' reduction in fuel use IS A START!

Next year it'll be a FULL ONE percent if we 'get it together.'

Any other suggestions for 911?

THX & God Bless y'all; and God Bless America.

ok this boycott is total slap nut thinking. Here is how this stupid boycott works in the real world.
1. Sept 10th better fill up the truck tomarrows the boycott.
2. well its sept 12 the boycotts over lets fill up the car.
see it does not work never has never will. you want to make Opec hurt drill for oil in Alaska, drill for it off the coast of Wa, OR, and More of it off CA. and then we can have more freedom from Opec. drill for it were we know it is.

Yeah but we would be foolish to use our oil right now...better to pay thier high prices now...eventually they will run out of oil and we will still have some. you think prices are high now?

ok it takes 10 to 15 years to bring a oil field on line for production so we need to drill now not when saudi runs out. be too late to ramp up our fields. or even better Mexico should give us 100,000 barrels for every ileagal alian that crosses our border. or buy our oil from russia. So back to the origanal post bio diesel is the way to go we can grow our fuel.

yeah sorry to hijak the thread...as I countinue to do it? lol anyway saudi wont run out in our grand kids lifetime so its a very long term plan to save ours in reserve, but I think its smart of them (the gov).

agreed though bio fuel would be nice, but it will never happen because its to easy to produce..and since its so easy to produce it would be hard to monopolize it and profit from it.

oil companys can set the price where ever they want it because there is no competition. with bio fuel if prices got to high farmer joe would get a bank loan and start up a refinery instead of just selling his veggies to the big company.

prices would self regulate and thats just not good for buisness. at least not for the buisness currently spending billions on buying lawmakers.

A theory behind escalating oil prices........the powers that be, including OPEC...have watched this country's use of oil....and the prices this country pays for gas, diesel, etc....

The richest country in the world, and it's citizens are paying the cheapest price of any country in the world for their gas, oil, diesel, etc.....sort of out of line, wouldn't you say? So, lets bring the price of oil up and sooner or later the price they pay will be in line with all the rest of the world.

It's a declared fact that we can purchase oil from other countries cheaper than we can produce it ourselves...so how are we gaining by starting to drill again within the boundries of our country? Remember the crash of the oil boom in Texas...thanks to unions, etc....

Oil prices are not really set by the oil companies. They are set by the Futures Market on Wall Street. If someone hiccups, the prices go up...if someone farts, the prices go down. Fear and supply/demand regulate the commodities market, and OPEC regulates supply.

First off we will never use up the amount of oil we have in the us! Why do I say this? Because the oil field was my profession before driving. I worked the fields from wyoming down to texas. There is no way we will ever use it up.

We dont need to drill more right now. Just uncap the many many wells that are sealed off now.

PS. Did you know that there is one small field in wyoming that does nothing but supply the navy with all its oil and fuel needs. And it isnt that big on the scale of things.

how could we NOT ever use up our oil? Oil is something that has a finite ammount.

now granted we will not use it up in our lifetime or for several generations but eventually this planet will be out of oil, and it just makes since to be the last ones with any.
