Default Horse People

Any horse people out there?
I have 3 and ride mostly English, mainly jumping and English pleasure but I have played around in dressage. Also did a bit of barrels for fun. Have a Haflinger and 2 appendix QH. One's smart and the other's dumb as rocks, and the Haflinger is possessed.
If you're OTR, how did you handle leaving them at home?
*note* picture doesn't work and it won't come off...

Racing's a mystery to me... Now pointlessly jumping over random objects in an enclosed space? That I fully understand LoL!
Too many head injuries to know any better I guess.
One of my horses has a pretty nice bloodline out of racers on one side. He's quarter horse/thoroughbred cross. The other QH/Thor I have no clue what his bloodline is. But it definitely shows in both of them.

We had horses while I was growing up. They were real horses, fend for themselves, maybe got some hay in the winter. Not like those that have to have a blanket when it's 40 degrees out and has to be in a stall every night.

Had a motorcycle also and found out if I didn't feed it for a week I could still ride it. Horse didn't get fed for a week it really didn't want you to ride it.

I have 7, mostly for trail riding but have done all kinds of things with them over the years. They are the ONLY thing keeping me from getting a CDL and teaming up with hubby, I cant seem to give them up! But who knows, I have found a potential caretaker which would allow me to go trucking, but then why have them?? Decisions,decisions.......

If you have a dog they will keep him in food for a long time. JK.

I bet dressed out you have at least 3500 LBS. Mix it with another 3500 LBS of grains and thats a lot of dog food. No more buying chew toys, now you have real bones for them. And you have leather for jackets, gloves, ect.

At home i just whisper that to myself.
