I'm a native of Clearwater,FL so the Rays are the home team. I went to the second Rays game ever played at the Trop. It was a long, tough road for the Bay area to even get a baseball team. We thought we were going to get one but missed out when franchises were awarded to Arizona and Colorado. It was 10 to 15 years of a long wait just to get a MLB team and another 10 years of being the doormat of the AL East so this series is definitely special.
For those who don't think the Rays belong there, you've got to be kidding me. You don't win 97 games in baseball's toughest division beat the White Sox and Red Sox in post season and not deserve to be in the WS. They are a $45 million dollar team of excellent young players who beat up the $100 million dollar+ powerhouses New york and Boston and did it with their athletic skills and teamwork.
Go get Manny and throw him in the Phillies lineup and Garza or Big Game James or Howell or Price will shut him down too. BJ Upton, it's goin yard, Longoria, your gonna hear that name for many years to come, Crawford, one bad man there, Aybar and Pena can hurt you too.
They got the pitching, they got the D, they got the bats.......Phillies going down.........

Hey, Lefturn... why did they drop Devil from the name? I haven't heard about it. Was there a lawsuit or something?
And just for you, I'll wish the Rays good luck! I like a good Cinderella story. And I got no special love for Philadelphia! I just liked the way they looked in the conference championship..... especially that power hitting pitcher they got! :lol2::clap:

Well thanks golfhobo for becoming a Rays fan. I haven't heard anything about lawsuits about the name change, I guess they just wanted a new look, and ya know how it is nowadays, gotta be politically correct. I was reading another message board and a poster said "Man, maybe new Jersey ought to drop the devil out of thier team name and maybe they will go to the Stanely Cup".

These Baseball players..(buncha homos)..give me the creeps.
When they win a game, they forget they are in public, and run out onto the field and do some really disturbing group hug, and jump up and down like a bunch of school girls. :hellno:
Football players/Hockey players celebrate with physical violence. The bigger the celebration, the more brutal the attack.

I was just watching SportsCenter. Who is the Phillies' manager? His voice sounded like someone you'd see in a Western.
