Steinbrenner would have been better of firing him. The negative
PR from inviting him to sign a 1 year deal worth a couple million LESS than what Torre earned this year was nothing more than an insulting slap in the face.
Torre will land on his feet somewhere and the Yankees will suffer because of it. Additionally, I expect people like A-Rod and Riviera, as well as others, to leave, too.
It's a rather glorious sight, seeing the Yankees organization in flames right now. :lol:
