Default American horse racing

I,ve recently opened a new online account with a leading Irish bookie who takes bets on American horse racing. I can watch races live on cable from most of your courses.
Point of post is....I have not got any form books for your racing. I would really appreciate it if any racing enthusiasts out there could offer advice on any horses to look out for, any jockey/trainer combinations at a particular track, I,m sure you get the gist of it. TIPS PLEASE! P.M Wot with all your inside info
No odds on favourites please.

Gill and I simply Luuuurrrrvvv American racing! We backed four winners so far(Tricks-James clay-Half way thursday and forget name of the last).
And I must say, how very impressed we have both been with the competent and professional manner in which the horses are quickly loaded into the stalls over there(Unlike our racing where the start can be delayed for some time as horses and handlers fight with one another).
Altogether, a very good night and a good nights entertainment. God Bless American horse racing!

I,ll accept tips for those big races too mate!
Racing over there is soooooooo different to here! Seems like your jockeys are more tactically astute. However our jockeys seem much stronger in riding a tight finish. Wonder how they would compare on a day to day basis? The American with the chronometer inside his head and the Brit who punches and kicks the horse to the line....
Interesting eh?

Seems most of the horses here are trained for that last sprint. The jockey's just ride along until the final turn to cut'em loose. Only a few have been turned loose right out of the gate and made it home for the win thru American Horse Racing history. Prolly the most famous of those few was Secretariat, horse absolutely crushed the field. It wasn't a question of whether or not Secretariat would win, it was a question of, "By how much?"

Not too sure about this year. I would keep the Kentucky Derby winner in the bag until the final Triple Crown race, The Belmont Stakes. That horse likes to be turned loose late and has the giddy-up to get it done on that long track. Belmont is the longest race of the Big 3.

Thanks for the tips and info guys. I,ll look up that site today!
By way, one of horses I backed last night-Half Way Thursday- looks to have some future. The way that horse strode clear from the field with the minimum effort was something to behold.

Preakness is on tonight wot. Post Time is 6:05pm EST or midnight for you. Small field, only 9 horses are going to post. Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense is the odds-on favorite at 7-5, believe he is leaving from the outside. #8 slot out of 9. Hard Spun is 5-2 and starting at the #7 slot. Being the shortest of the Triple Crown races, Hard Spun has a real good shot of pulling the upset as he was leading the Kentucky Derby thru the first 3/4 of the mile and a quarter race. Preakness is mile and 3/16, slightly shorter than the Kentucky Derby.

Out of the last 6 Preakness races, it has been won by the favorite 5 times. The only time it wasn't was in last year's race when favorite Barbaro broke his leg at the start.
