ARE F-ING KIDDING ME??? Street Sense nearly did it again.

Street Sense made a late break from 8th and lost by about 6 inches to Curlin. Street Sense turned on the afterburners halfway thru the last turn and blew to the lead only to not be able to maintain his speed. Looked like the jockey thought he had a breeze of a win and stopped using the whip. When he turned to check his backside Curlin came roaring up and Street Sense went back to the whip but it was too late, Curlin was there.

Good race but I was pullin for Street Sense, I'd like to see a triple crown winner, it's been 3 decades.

I thought Street Sense was toast at the quarter mark with being hung on the outside and dropping quick. Boy did he turn it on to go from the back to the front, just turned it on a tad too soon. Waited another few strides and he would have won it but alas, hindsight is 20-20...... I too would like to see a Triple Crown winner, has never happened in my lifetime.

Thats lovely, but I was thinkin' more like, oh, say.....$$$! J/K!

My luck is so bad, whatever I pick never wins- so I try to not put too much thought into it :lol:

I remember being in Korea and betting on Japanese participants in some TV show, then I won 20 bucks. It was really fun.
