To me this says a lot, smart thinking right there. That was the problem you had at your most recent place, trying to scratch out a living was tough to almost impossible of late. Now your a little bit more stable on your own, your not looking to make millions and millions, just make a decent living out of it. A guy I know locally to me, been trucking at least since I was born 33 years ago, last 7-8 years he's been an O/O leased on with Landstar. He owns the truck and trailer out right, but, the loads he is running are into Montreal and NYC so you'd think he's making great money. He has a niche because he's runs a cab over so he can get into places the conventional cabs can't but he's only making enough to have a decent living. Stays out 3-4 weeks at a time then takes a week or two off. He's perfectly happy with his situation because his mindset isn't about making the most money possible to live high on the hog.
