Does anyone know where I might be able to locate information on companies rider pass requirements / restrictions for their company drivers?
Until I can get more mobile I'll be stuck with my wheelchair... I am able to climb in and out of the truck and bring my chair in and out on my own, I can generally do this in the same time-frame or less than it takes an able bodied person to get in and out (we've timed it). The company my husband is with will no longer allow 'medical equipment' of any type on-board any of their trucks (this includes not just wheelchairs but also crutches, canes, prosthetic, cpap, etc.) This new piece of 'rules' from the company had me wondering if there was something across the board I'd missed that led to that rule in-house. I had actually been looking at getting my own CDL back to drive again myself, if there's going to be something across the boards for all companies I'd like to know before I go too far with the medical waiver process.
Thank you for your time
